Twenty years after losing her actor son to AIDS, Katharine unexpectedly shows up on the doorstep of his former partner, Cal. As they delve into the past and navigate the present in a single afternoon, Katharine struggles with a world she has never understood, one that now includes Cal’s husband and young son. Both heartbreaking and hopeful, this drama pays tribute to a generation stricken with loss, and reflects on the major changes in America’s gay community in recent decades.
